Just came across this posting on Engadget showing Panasonic’s Toughbook verses Gamma Tech’s Durabook. The video shows these laptops being dropped and stepped on….oouch. Anyway, it would have been nice to see how the new Dell XFR compares to the Panasonic. Nevertheless, quite entertaining and that freezer bit was very funny!

Dell has been teasing us for quite some time with the much anticipated release of it’s sleek new 13″ laptop – Adamo by Dell. Well it’s finally here and ready to order. Prices start at $1,999 for the base system which includes a 1.2GHz Core 2 Processor, 2GB RAM and a decent 128GB solid state drive along with a choice of either Pearl or Onyx aluminum finishes.

The Sony VAIO P Series is publicized as the world’s first 8-inch “Lifestyle PC”. It features an Atom 1.33GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 60GB hard drive – or an optional 128GB solid state drive. It weighs in at 1.4 lbs and is less than an inch thick. The keyboard is wide and well laid out. There is however no touchpad, what you have instead is a pointing stick. Sony has packed in quite a few goodies into the P-Series such as; integrated 3G mobile broadband, built in webcam and real-time GPS along with a quick-boot option for fast access to the web, email and photos. The base system with Vista Home Basic starts at $899 and has quite an array of color choices.
